Alfonso Saera, TecnioSpring-Marie Curie fellow at Sequentia, is leading the development of our the Ag-focused module in AIR, our RNAseq data analysis cloud software.

As NGS is becoming widely adopted in the agricultural industry, a more precise and scalable tool for transcriptomics data analysis has become necessary to accelerate the development of high-end biostimulants and enhancing molecular plant breeding. We are using proprietary pipelines to make RNAseq more powerful and accesible to R&D-based Ag companies and research centres, boosting their capabilities to bring new and better products to the market.

Alfonso is an experienced research biologist with strong bioinformatics skills and a solid background in gene function and regulation, with a postdoctoral experience at the University of Michigan. He holds a PhD from the University of Valencia and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), a MSc in Bioinformatics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a MSc in Molecular Biology & Genetics from the University of Valencia. He has published over 45 papers.
