We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Healthcare Department full time (40 h/week) and support us growing our team effectively.


Position Description

The Business Development Manager, serves as a key team member and contributes to the overall strategic direction of the business. A key objective for this position is to work with the CEO, CFO, Marketing Manager and CTO to build an optimal structure to develop and execute successful strategies for our European go-to-market. The Business Development Manager responsibilities include developing client accounts to achieve Sequentia Health revenue targets , connecting with healthcare practitioners and Lab managers, Supply Chain Executives, Value Analysis Committees, Safety/Risk Management, and Hospital Administration.

The Business Development Manager will liaise between leads, customers and internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs. The position is a mid level position that is ideal for a capable, committed individual who wants to roll up his / her sleeves and dive right into the work Sequentia Health is doing. This role requires someone who doesn’t only stick to their responsibilities but comes up with innovative ideas, and solutions to existing issues being faced in the company. The Healthcare department is a relatively new one within Sequentia and as such there is a lot of opportunity within the company to take the initiative and get involved with new projects and achieve professional growth .

She/ he will Interact closely with customers to understand who Sequentia Health customer is, what their health care requirements are and how Sequentia Health can bridge these gaps in services available. – Managing and coordinating on ground marketing initiatives, might include traveling to clinics often to collect survey information, feedback etc ;Creating presentations on targets, impact measurement, revenues goals for regular reviews with senior management.


Duties & Responsibilities Include

  • Responsible for building new strategies and client relationships along Sequentia Health product verticals (consulting services and software);
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities;
  • Perform market research to qualify new business opportunities, including analysis of customer budgets, capabilities required, current customer preferences, competitive environment assessments, and incumbent strengths and weaknesses;
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and key opinion leaders to achieving revenue goals;
  • Forecast and track key account metrics;
  • Clearly Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly objectives to internal stakeholders; identify areas of concern and assist in generating solutions;
  • Brief business development status to senior management;
  • Help customers through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings;
  • Monitor and analyze customer’s usage of our product;
  • Assist and support new client integration;
  • Liaise between the customer and internal Sequentia teams;
  • Collaborate with other BD line management to support cross enterprise objectives and customer engagement;
  • National and international (Europe) travel is expected (maximum one per month);



  • Educated to a minimum of degree level (life sciences degree preferred)
  • 3 years or more of business development (B2B) in the Healthcare Industry in South Europe
  • A proven track record of meeting sales goals consistently;
  • Familiarity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies
  • A sound understanding of how the health market operates in South Europe and its main players;
  • Strong commercial acumen combined with a deep interest and knowledge of the Healthcare area;
  • Proven ability to engage with C-level decision makers and coordinate activity on major accounts;
  • Excellent communicator combining interpersonal relationship building with meeting facilitation and a high level of presentation skills;
  • Strong quantitative skills, comfortable with financial data, corporate and market statistics, and other aspects of company & market analysis and consulting;
  • Should have been comfortable representing Sequentia Health at National level conferences, firs , events and Round Tables.
  • Ability to work independently based on strong organizational, planning and time management skills;
  • Ability to lead and contribute as part of a team;
  • Languages: Spanish and English ; Italian is highly desired;
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Excel, Power Point, Word and project management software;
  • Accept personal responsibility for producing results, individually and as a team;

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience: 

  • Existing relationships with Private Healthcare stakeholders in the assigned marketplace
  • Familiarity with a variety of Digital Healthcare / Precision Medicine / genomics practices and procedures and commercial channels
