The genome and its correct assembly is the starting point for any project that uses omics sciences to achieve a breakthrough in the fields of human health, agriculture and the environment. For this reason, at Sequentia we develop innovative tools that create a new reliable and precise assembly, of both complete genomes and specific parts or groups of genes.

The study of the set of genes of a genome is a fundamental step in understanding its biological processes and functions. This is now possible thanks to transcriptomics and the new sequencing technologies that allow us to know all of an organism’s genes in detail, in specific conditions and tissues.

Our innovative metagenomics pipeline, which complements those of genomics, transcriptomics and epigenomics, is designed to work with both data obtained using shotgun protocols and with selective amplifications (sequencing of 16S, sequencing of 18S, etc.).

Research in recent years has shown that neither the sequence of the genes nor their expression can alone explain the complex workings of genomes. That is why the study of epigenetics has become a key factor for understanding biological processes.
