Walter Sanseverino, PhD
Cofounder & Executive Director (CEO)
Postdoctoral fellowship in Plant Genomics at the University of Naples “Federico II” Postdoctoral fellowship in Bioinformatics and Plant Genomics at the CRAG in Barcelona. PhD in Plant Genetics at the University of Naples “Federico II” Master’s in Genomic Lab Management at the Italian National Research Council (CNR-IGV). Master’s in Biotechnological Sciences and Bachelor’s in Biotechnological Sciences at the University of Naples “Federico II”. He met Riccardo Aiese Cigliano at CNR-IGV. Riccardo Aiese Cigliano, PhD
Cofounder & Scientific Director (CSO)
Postdoctoral fellowship on the role of chromatin remodelling in DNA repair by the homologous recombination pathway at the Gregor Mendel Institute of Molecular Plant Biology (GMI) in Austria. PhD in Biotechnology: Epigenetic Control of Meiosis in Arabidopsis thaliana at the Italian National Research Council (CNR-IGV). Master’s in Biotechnological Sciences at the University of Naples “Federico II”. Bachelor’s in Biotechnological Sciences at the University of Naples “Federico II”.

Financial & Business Development Director
Master’s in Analysis and Management of Development Projects at the University of Milan Master’s in Management and Business Strategy at the Sole 24ORE Business School. Bachelor’s in Economy and Commerce by the University of Naples “Federico II”. She has been the Administrative, Financial, and Business Development Director at Sequentia since its foundation. Previously, she worked as an International Cooperation Consultant for the Municipality of Segrate in Italy. She also worked as a Microfinance and Microcredit Expert in the Department of Economics, Business, and Statistics at the University of Milan for 11 years.
Luis Matías Hernández

Andreu Paytuví i Gallart
PhD at the department of Cell Biology, Physiology and Immunology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Master’s in Bioinformatics at the UAB. Bachelor’s in Biotechnology at the University of Girona
PhD in Computer and Control Engineering from University of Naples Federico II. BSc and MSc in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Naples Federico II. During his PhD he worked on innovative architectures for Secure Cyber-Physical Systems and was an invited short-term scholar at the George Mason University in Virginia USA. During this period he has also worked on the SPECS Project an FP7-ICT founded project (1 November 2013 – 30 April 2016 grant agreement no 610795) for Secure Provisioning of Cloud Resources.
PhD in Computer and Control Engineering from University of Naples Federico II. BSc and MSc in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Naples Federico II. His PhD focused on research on the Model-Driven Engineering and Dependability aspects for software systems, proposing a novel development process that supports the development of mission- and safety- critical systems.The study was born from the fruitful industry-academia partnership in the framework of the European Project “CErtification of CRItical Systems” (CECRIS, www.cecris-project.eu, EU FP7 Programme grant agreement no 324334).
Contract Specialist and Business Development
BSc and MSc in civil engineering from the University of Naples Federico II.
Master’s in European Project Planning and International Procurement.
During his work experience he specialized in Business to Government (B2G) contracts, as well as design and management services in integrated engineering. Thanks to Walter Sanseverino, a longtime friend, he is passionate about the world of bioinformatics and biotechnologies, soon becoming a reference for Sequentia in Italy, through a partnership agreement with company MenToTech, of which he is founder and CEO.
Master’s student in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University. Bachelor’s in Biotechnology at University of Zaragoza. She joined Sequentia in September 2017 to perform her Master’s Thesis in collaboration with the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM).
Sergio García García
In May 2016, he began a finance and administration work placement at Sequentia Biotech, thanks to the FP DUAL and the collaboration between the study center and the company.
In September 2017 he started an administration and business management degree at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
David Tomás García

Administration & Finance Manager
Prior to earning a Master’s Degree in International Business Economics & Management from the KUL University (Katholike University of Leuven, BELGIUM), Claudia specialized in International Relations with a MSc in International Relations from LUISS University (ITALY), and a Bachelor in Political Science from the University of Naples “Federico II”. Throughout her work career, Claudia has undertaken several positions in different areas: more recently, she worked as Research data officer at the “Research & Commercialization Office” of the Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, Australia); and as marketing and event officer at Confindustria Padova (Italy). From July 2017 Claudia joined Sequentia as Clients and Sales Officer. Joined Sequentia in July 2017
