Introductory course to metagenomics data analysis (17h).
Sequentia’s metagenomics spring course will introduce metagenomic data analysis to professionals from different backgrounds that work in basic research or applied R&D.
Directed to: biologists, biochemists, biotechnologists, bioinformaticians, engineers and other life science professionals that would like to broaden their knowledge on metagenomics data analysis.
Course structure: 90% practice – 10% theory.

The practical sessions of the course will include:
- Analysis with QIIME2
- Taxonomy and funcion using read-based approach
- Taxonomy and function using assembly-based approach
- Metatranscriptomics
Schedule: 1 week (3.5 hours per day) / Monday to Friday, 10 – 13:30 (CET)
Dates: Spring, exact dates to be confirmed with ample notice.
Format: Online (via Google Meets).
Trainees per group: 7 max.
Requirements:
Basics of command-line terminal (Bash) and R.
An attendance certificate will be provided at the end of the course.
